Awww I know right, Darin. I'm so sad that demonoid is gone. That was my source for audio books and karaokes. It totally sucks. *cries* I haven't found a site as good as demonoid but what I use now are
http://www.btjunkie.org
To sign up, you need sighted assistance cause it has the capcha thing.
and
http://www.fuldls.com.
Those aren't as good but I use them now. If you hear of any other good sights for audio books I'd be glad to know of them.

www.btmon.com
it's a super index, they index I think 18 different torrent sites including thepiratebay, meganova, mininova etc.. it's myy source for almost everything. I found some rare music that I could not find in any other site.

Post 5 by Manwe (The Dark Lord) on Friday, 28-Dec-2007 7:47:58

yeah i've tried pirate bay for some stuff but it doesn't even come close to demonoid. also the search options haven't been thought out anywhere near as well as well as they were on demonoid. things were so easy to find on that site!! on thepiratebay it's a chore!!

Post 6 by Ukulele<3 (Try me... You know you want to.) on Saturday, 29-Dec-2007 2:15:33

I agree. But thanks Urigs for the new site. I haven't tried that one out so will take a look at it.

actually, demonoid has not gone, just to u.s access. if you use a proxie server that is based in holland, lets say, you can access it very easily. I use tor, a network of proxies to get access to sites like that anominously. also, it is very usible, if a little slow. good luck. hth.

Lol. how about audible.com? There's a site for audiobooks. How about lets see. graphicaudio.net?
Yeah the pirate bay works i guess. Never been there. Don't wanna go there. And since I've never heard of demonoid of whatever it's called, could someone post what it is?a

Post 9 by serrebi101 (Veteran Zoner) on Sunday, 30-Dec-2007 17:14:06

It's a bit torrent site. Anyways demonoid has been down for a while. There really isn't a good audiobook alternative. Public dumpsites just do not do the job, so mininova, btjunkie , etc etc doesn't hold water compared to demonoid, nor will they ever.
here are a few alternatives. I have invites for some, so if you can't sign up , send me an pm.

does anyone have an invite to MyBitTorrent

Post 16 by KC8PNL (The best criticism of the bad is the practice of the better.) on Monday, 07-Jan-2008 21:29:36

I think whoever said it is open to all but US traffic is confusing demonoid with torrentspy. torrentspy had to block all US traffic sometime durring the fall. If Demonid was back and was blocking traffic, I would think they would block traffic from Canada first, since they are having problems with the CRIA, not the RIAA. Just a quick word of warning to u all. I don't see anything wrong with this topic so far, but please be sure to refrain from mentioning any downloading of materials under copyright. I know it's in the terms of service and all that, but just figured I should remind u all. Thanks for reading.

Oh, and themixingbowl.org rocks if u like techno, house, or any other EDM stuff. Radio shows such as the Essential Mix, Global with Carl Cox, In a state of Transe, and many others are posted religiously.

Post 18 by Manwe (The Dark Lord) on Wednesday, 09-Jan-2008 4:10:05

yeah that was why demonoid was brought down. shame because it was probably the best of the best where torrent sites are concerned. especially for how it was organized.

unless they have improved somewhat i wouldn't bother with torrentspy any more because it has some nasty malware that gets into your pc through the adds it puts up. i herd that over a year or so ago and i haven't gone there since.

this might be off topic, but...
the cria and the riaa are hungry for money, and they don't want to get with the times!
times have changed, let the digital revolution live on!

Post 20 by changedheart421 (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Friday, 11-Jan-2008 20:35:49

hello I use 2 torrent program to find torrents on the many sites out there. They are Bichae and torrent harvester. They both work great and on sites like demoid and all, torrent harvester would search it without you having an invite.

Post 21 by frequency (the music man) on Friday, 11-Jan-2008 21:30:44

i don't know about demonoid being the most organized... I was a member of oink for a bit, and that system was absolutely excelent. They had a special system in place for requests, and no adds... man i miss that site too.

Post 22 by battle star queen (I just keep on posting!) on Monday, 14-Jan-2008 13:35:01

Are all the sites mentioned torent sites?

Post 23 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Sunday, 20-Jan-2008 3:25:13

amazing. I use the pirate bay and btjunkie for torrents... but sometimes there is stuff that you cannot really obtain there. I woudl suggest, using programs like emule or even kazeasy to look for torrents. kazeasy can look for torrents on openFTP.

Post 24 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 21-Jan-2008 11:58:09

hmm, torrentazos.com is not acessible (at least to me). Anyway to cathegorize your search? most of them ahve been unsuccessful too.

Post 25 by b3n (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 21-Jan-2008 16:31:35

just as an fyi, demonoid is down so the proxy wouldn't work - although there is some talk of it coming back up.
I don't kno whats wrong with the pirate bay though.

Post 26 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 21-Jan-2008 16:48:02

heh plus most site export other torrents from demonoid still. i have found some torrents from demonoid on filesharing progs, btjunkie and so on.

Post 27 by shadow of john (Veteran Zoner) on Monday, 21-Jan-2008 18:35:01

tpb wants to bring demonoid back. I meen the pirate bay.
They wanna give servers to the admin of demonoid

Post 28 by changedheart421 (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Monday, 21-Jan-2008 21:01:50

Post 29 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 22-Jan-2008 19:39:41

Post 30 by frequency (the music man) on Tuesday, 22-Jan-2008 22:06:53

yes. do tell! they wanted to do this for oink too.

Post 31 by b3n (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 24-Jan-2008 15:25:21

Post 32 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Friday, 25-Jan-2008 3:44:59

well its interesting in a way, I guess I had heard that they only proposed it though.

Post 33 by shadow of john (Veteran Zoner) on Monday, 28-Jan-2008 18:15:00

I saw it on torrentfreak, but like I say, they the demonoid people didn't really answer

Post 34 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Friday, 11-Apr-2008 23:55:10

well, now it is back, so go and do as much with it as you wish--although I've never gotten a chance to be invited.. it is still back.

Post 35 by The Lil Dark Piggy (This site is so "educational") on Saturday, 12-Apr-2008 7:52:53

From my reading on the torrent freak website, Dimoniod is now back up and running. To read the article on Dimonoid, go to click on this link: href="http://torrentfreak.com/demonoid-is-back-080411/>" Demonoid is back
